This Privacy Policy describes how the Humanize mobile application (“Humanize”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the app and related hosted pages (including this site). By using Humanize, you agree to this policy.
Information you provide
When you submit text for rewriting, that content is sent to our servers over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) so we can process it and return humanized output. We use the text only to provide the rewriting service you request.
Third-party AI processing
Your submitted text may be processed by a third-party AI model provider acting on our behalf to generate rewritten text. We do not display provider branding in the app; processing is described here in neutral terms. Those providers process data according to their own policies and our instructions for delivering the service.
What we ask you not to submit
Do not submit highly sensitive information, including passwords, payment card numbers, government identification numbers, medical or legal secrets, or other credentials you would not want processed in the cloud. You are responsible for the content you choose to send.
On-device history
Humanize can save your past runs as history locally on your device for your convenience. This local history is not synced to our servers as a full history archive. You can delete all saved local history at any time in the app under Settings → Clear history.
Firebase and related services
We use Google Firebase and related infrastructure, including:
- Firebase Authentication (anonymous) — a device-linked anonymous account so the app can call backend services securely without requiring you to sign in with email or password.
- Cloud Functions — server-side processing of your submitted text and related service logic.
- Cloud Firestore — may be used on our servers for usage limits, account metadata, or similar operational data (not as a copy of your full on-device history).
- Firebase Analytics — aggregated usage data to understand how the app is used and improve the product (collection follows platform and in-app settings where applicable).
- Firebase Crashlytics — crash and stability reports to diagnose errors and improve reliability.

Subscriptions and payments
If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by the Apple App Store (and, where offered, Google Play). We use Adapty to manage subscription status and entitlements in the app. We do not receive or store your full payment card details; the store handles billing.
Data retention
Local history remains on your device until you clear it in Settings or uninstall the app. Server-side logs and metadata are retained only as long as needed to operate the service, comply with law, and meet provider retention rules.
Children
Humanize is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may revise the Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the revised policy.
